"Big Blue" on Michigan Out of Doors TV Episode

June 13 - 14, 2015 8th Annual Geocacher Enough Road Rally

What a great time we had with our two little minions during the 8th Annual GeoCacher Enough Off-Road Rally in Roscommon, MI.  The event started on Saturday morning at 10:00am and would finish up the next morning.  An annual GeoCache event that is free to the public with the funds being provided by sponsors and donations.  First time for us attending this event and didn't know what to expect at first.  After the driver safety meeting everyone was given a newspaper that had all of the GPS coordinates for the GeoCache locations and useful information to go along with the cache.  A map booklet with the suggested driving route was also provided but it was just meant as a suggestion.  People could do one cache or do all 60 cache locations, it was up to them.  Most of the route was on seasonal roads / Two Tracks and once in a while pavement would be driven on.
The route was just over 200 miles long starting in Roscommon, MI and ending in the same place.  We were north of Grayling, MI when we decided to stop at 10:30pm as our two little minions were tired and wanted to get back to the motel.
On the event we saw white tail deer, a porcupine, and two barn owls.  The barn owl above I had to use photo shop to brighten the photo as it was took dark when I took it.  After 2 hours of Geocaching the pack split apart and we were by ourselves for the rest of the event.  We would run into fellow GeoCachers and different cache locations and everyone would help each other figure out the puzzles if help was needed.  The weather changed that evening and we were lucky enough to be back to the motel room by then.  Our "Big Blue" 2015 Jeep Wrangler Hard Rock Edition Rubicon JKU ended up being shown on the Michigan Out of Doors TV Episode #1528 as the episode changes topic to the GeoCacher Enough Road Rally segment.  To see the segment on the event use the link below and fast forward to 10:05 on the video (as the first part is about fishing).
